Sports During Covid

New MLB rules....

They have new rules in the MLB now...and it's all different during covid.

You always get annoyed when they start changing the games around but I like a lot of the new rules.

In extra innings they start with a runner on second base now to shorten extra innings, I thought this was dumb for a minute but I have other concerns because of the pandemic so I don't even care.

The rule is actually a relief from watching games that run too long into extra innings, like I can't stay up that late for like fifteen innings and usually turn it off.

Starting with a runner on second base is like the NHL shootout rules, it shortens the game and it's probably safer that the players don't play too long and have a better chance of not getting hurt by letting games go too long, like they get tired and stuff and get hurt.

So that's actually a relief that the game doesn't go on all night, like just get it over with...that's not in the playoffs though.

I'm also used to there being no crowd already.

Double headers things year only go seven innings each game, I think they said...that is also a nice relief to shorten some of that...I mean it just goes on too long.

It's a new era now people, they are making the games safer and shorter...at least it's less stressful to watch.

The NHL 2021 Season starts in December, the Stanley Cup finals are just about too start and then two months off and they start again December 1st.

For now anyway.

The new Seattle team, to me that's the Metropolitan's who won the cup a hundred years ago, starts next year they are saying 2021-2022.
