They're not for sale, like my grandmothers farmland from the Sampson Train and in Annapolis Valley that her parents got in the 1867 land grants.
That's private land that's not for sale for the heritage society, they allow this land to be open from those kinds of estate holdings because no one lives there and it's used to local tourism and the money it makes pays for the staff and that's about it, then tourist attraction for job creation.
So a lot of times Provincial Parks in Nova Scotia are private from the original land grants but are held by the City or Province for usage on the family's behalf when otherwise it would be just closed land, many beaches in Nova Scotia and trails have been donated in this manner, but still belong to the family estate - the paid land - that they loan to the Province for FREE to earn money they get back at home by using other City services that they need generated by the free loan to the Province of the families land grants.
