OPINION: Halifax Transit Schedules Lead To Assaults At City School Bus Stops

Now we get a few years into the new city construction in Halifax where they "debate" if a new stadium for a CFL franchise  is being built...turns out that was just a scam making an "early construction announcement" or something so they could fake cancel.
Now with dozens of new "skyscrapers" in Halifax amid city construction the old North End was removed by one building construction....

These new buildings are being built first around where the planned stadium location was announced and so far they just windows and concrete.

Later they mean probably the stadium and new downtown Dartmouth Waterfront area to match the Halifax side for the CFL team with new shops etc. will be going in later AFTER these new skyscrapers are done.

Now downtown Halifax is totally different with new roads and open Casino access on the Metro Transit Bus Route extended to Windsor, Nova Scotia but I don't think the Metro Bus goes there yet.

Now with the McDonald Bridge downtown closed on "devil's night weekend" and the alternate bus routes you get delays between the Community College on Main Street / Woodlawn Avenue to Dalhousie / St. Mary's in Downtown Halifax.

With new Community College Housing replacing old welfare duplexes in the area on Main Street apartments have been rezoned for student community housing and daycare.

What I mean is the Main Street Community College in Dartmouth is now "lower rent" student housing housing than downtown at Dalhousie etc.

So the old neighborhoods came out now that's being replaced with new student housing around that bus route, hopefully when new student housing opens on Main Street Dartmouth they will have a new Metro Transit Bus Terminal INSIDE the new Community College Student Housing so the issues I am describing here will be resolved.

Now between the two bus stops Dalhousie and Community College on Main Street Dartmouth area you get multiple delays and dead no traffic areas around the bus stops.

Also the St. Francis Xavier University private elementary school the Sacred Heart Academy is also on this same route.

The buses are delayed and rerouted for construction so you get the regular bus or the alternate bus which uses the second bridge during traffic re-routing because of the construction.

So the bus is late sometimes and outside of the terminal and the street lights get backed up leading to no cars or traffic around the bus stop sometimes because of construction delays.

Then  you get these little pricks running out and vandalizing the bus stop and threatening people at the bus stop and won't leave when told to and are too small or decript to "beat up" in a fight.

These homeless people use the delays on the school route to assault people at the bus stop and vandalize the terminals because of no supervision or witnesses.

Every time it's a little prick that you're not allowed hitting.

That point to this commentary is they need to keep that traffic flowing in those areas around the school bus stops so people don't have to have long waits that are unsupervised, so they can avoid these people that bum money, try to talk to everyone they see and won't leave when you tell them.
