HALIFAX: Scam Alert, Fake Banking Records , Scam Booth At Mall

Now on 4/20 week, not a Government supported event.

People are going around issuing fake debt notices to peoples doors from where they are previous customers.

Like sending them bills for rent or repossession saying "imminent eviction or repossession"  , on the papers all the account information is wrong and only the customers name and address correct.

This is some kind of "fishing for information scam".

Then outside people are loitering around plazas and asking strangers random information about their "place of birth etc."

I mean...sitting at a store every time you go there some man you don't know...."oh where are you from, what's your birth residence?"

Fuck you.

Asking peoples identies on the sidewalk issencently in Dartmouth and then putting fake notices up on their doors with the stolen information in it.

Now the Halifax Police have a "Spot The Scam Booth" set up at the Mic Mac Mall to inform the public of the issues.
