I found the features I was looking for...if you search for a band like Judas Priest for example with an extensive back catalog you can't see their full catalog in the list if it shows the big album cover.
The big album covers are listed in a horizontal list (sideways) on the screen and you view left to right and you can't see their full catalog and I had problems loading the list.
Where it says "albums" above the horizontal list that is actually a link and I couldn't see it because it doesn't say "click here for complete album list" , it just says albums.
Then when you hover over the word "albums" then you see it is actually a link and when you click on it it shows the bands full album catalog in a list.
However, the list was not in order by release year or alphabetical and you have to sort through it manually to find the album you want.
The sound though is pretty hi def and bands old albums like Judas Priest sound super awesome on Youtube Music, better than mp3.
So Youtube Music is waaaay better than having mp3's on your computer hard drive because you get tons of official music albums in hi def that sound way better than mp3's on your hard drive and takes up no space on your computer.
You would need a super huge hard drive with all hi def files on your computer to replace the mp3's if you wanted the same sound as Youtube Music.
With Youtube Music you get all super good sounding hi def music files with no space taken up on your hard drive for hi def music files and the sound is way better then mp3s on your computer.
If you have the money and listen to a lot of music Youtube Music is great because it takes up no hard drive space for listening to hi def music with the actual sound of the album like on the cd version or better I would assume if it is hi def, then the sound on the mp3 on your computer sucks compared to the hi def version on Youtube Music.
Why I am specifying Youtube Music over Spotify and Deezer is because it also has videos, so for a band like Judas Priest or someone it has their full audio catalog in hi def PLUS they have all their official music videos in hopefully hi def (720p), 4k or 5k (which is out or coming out).
So it is a good deal plus you can watch it on your Smart TV with no commercials on Youtube if you have a premium subscription, however on my blu ray Youtube app I didn't see a Youtube music section, my player might be getting old, but it does say premium and all the songs are still listed on the regular player so hopefully that is also in hi def audio on the television.
Of course Youtube Music may still be on the tv app but I couldn't find the button yet, but the music might still come in hi def on the television if it says premium but you have to listen with the Youtube video player because I couldn't find an audio app for the smart tv, like it just plays on the video screen not like services like Slacker Radio which I also have on my blu ray player which is just an audio player on the screen like Youtube Music on the computer.
I'm probably keeping Youtube Music Premium because I listen to a lot of music and make playlists and stuff for my webpages, so the price is worth it.
On top of that the artists get paid for you listening to them probably and it all comes in hi def audio so I no longer need to have music at all on my hard drive which saves hard drive space.
What I like is it is all loud hi def audio with official albums on it and no hard drive space taken up, plus the artists get paid from Youtube.
So that is a good deal...after you get all that in hi def with no hard drive space taken up I have no need for the mp3, cd or lp anymore...plus you can listen on you smart phone I am assuming because I never tried it yet.
I haven't given up the mp3 though because not all albums are available on the service and you might want to take the songs with you if you go off the internet.
Then I might still buy a cd or lp sometimes but that's only for collectables so I can have a "hard copy" my my favorite bands cd's or lp's.
So you don't need like 600 cds anymore in a collection when they all stream in perfect hi def now on Youtube Music, then I can just save my money to only collect cd's and lps of my favorite artists and the rest is on streaming hi def.
The other service Tidal which I think is owned by artist Jay Z is also hi def but is only available in like 50 countries right now, but I might still try it out later.
The I also like Spotify and Deezer to manage my band profiles and make public music playlists which I also have on Youtube Music for the tv app for my music page www.deathmetal.tv .
Overall the menu is not quite complete and is a little confusing on the computer plus from device to device the menu's are different but it is a good deal I'm probably going to keep it, anyway you can just turn off your subscription if you're not using it and turn it back on later if don't feel like paying in any given month.
Recommended for people who listen to tons of music and way better sound than the mp3 with no hard drive space taken up with music files, an internet connection required for all music streaming services.
