Internet Television is now out in Canada at some Internet Service Providers, the price is about half digital cable or satellite.
You need a Roku Stick or Apple TV.
You can get a basic package for $20 a month, more of a regular rate for us here in Canada.
I like Roku better so far....you have to stick the Roku Stick into your USB port on the Television and the service comes in off the wifi.
I am assuming that you can also use that on you PC to watch television and take your cable package with you on your laptop when you travel but I don't know.
Internet Television in Canada on the Roku USB stick with remote control comes with pay per view services directly on the stick with no charge for accessibility to buy pay per view if you have internet...again, you must be on the internet.
This also comes with other free stuff on the Roku Stick including free movies and shows on the apps as well as free music on the Spotify App.
When you use Spotify on the Roku Stick you get all music FREE that comes in on the internet but you have to listen to radio ads, Spotify on the web browser is the same, go to the Spotify page and you can listen to everything, all music from major labels etc., free on the internet with radio ads, you have to upgrade to remove the ads etc.
After that, you add Internet Television in packages and no longer need your land cable or satellite dish in Canada...starting at $20.
AGAIN, this is where these people are a failure in business is that they only offer the channels in packages.
So the major downfall of this, other than free wifi not being released yet which also includes free phone service, is you can't buy the channels one at a time yet.
This is how you can tell television is running a scam, I'm not blaming the internet service provider, is because the television people DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY.
I mean why would they offer stuff for sale and then they won't take your money, that's how you know it is a scam.
That's because like cable and satellite you have to tier the channels in packages.
Like $20 for basic, then $10 for more and , then $15 for even more.
Then they won't sell them for $1 or $1.50 per channel out of the package.
I mean they tell you right at the business that they don't want your money...
They say..."no, no....we don't want $5 each per person for three channels from everyone in Canada, we want $10 per person for one hundred people."
I mean why would they turn away millions of people only wanting 5 or 10 channels for $12 a month each and throw millions of dollars in the garbage to only sell packages in tiers that no one wants.
Like they only get 10 subscribes to buy the expensive tier package of 50 channels, then turned away 25 million people wanting 5 channels each.
I mean why would you not take the money?
Then they threw out all that money by not selling channels one at a time, that's how you know it's a scam from the television people.
Anyway, at least something is out.
Now you can save some money, that cuts the cable bill in half and gives you some free movies and free music with radio ads from major music labels, a pretty good deal.
Again the drawback is there are not free channels from overseas coming in on the service like there should be, millions of then but it is way better and cheaper that cable or satellite.
Plus you don't need a cable package to buy pay per view.
