One of the new things going on in heavy metal is people are releasing on public domain for the name and web traffic etc. for the release, then newer albums some come out on official.
If you were on Great White North Records list back catalog from GWN / The End / Sonic Unyon etc. like Prodisk / Quebec Labels and your album is unavailable you can release it on public domain on archive.org and then I can post the stream back on the official page.
Then you will get your old promotion back for your album on the official print pages.
Today that is BMG Rights Management.
So if you were on the label and want to release your record on public domain, then I can pick it up for the press promotion back on the official magazine pages through gwnrecords.com then you will be back on the official promotion if I see the album.
After that, your band will be back up with the "original deal" on a public domain release on the official press page, then if you do a new album that will get signed by an official label for the record store etc. and then you will be back out on official on your new label and then all your old press will be distributed on the gwnrecords.com pages.
Then when your new video comes out I can share it to my new pages on www.gore-metal.com and www.death-core.com and them and your new album will be released on official print for malls and magazines, then they'll pick your band up separate for your new albums.
Examples...
Like "Kevin Talley's International Power Concept" on public domain is now a new release on Slam Metal labels as Power Concept just released.
Or Ambivalence on PRC Music is now out on public domain on gwnrecords.com print and album stream.
That is kind of like getting a "public domain BMG release" and back catalog press / print on gwnrecords.com .
I am told that is the same thing so if the new gwnrecords.com pages lists your album on public domain it's like getting a BMG Rights Management public domain release, that's how people see it.
Then if I do the print for the album press on gwnrecords.com that is like a BMG Rights Management release, after that your band will get signed to a new label like Power Concept.
That's because the rest of the bands on The End Records went to BMG Rights Management but not Great White North Records.
So the music is like a public domain BMG album and the print is on Great White North Records, the closed The End Records label from Sony Red etc..now on BMG for the albums they took.
