New rules in the MLB now they need new stats.
Two things have come up, if a pitchers is perfect though six innings and gets the win that should be a perfect game for six inning competition.
Now you have to go backwards and award all them stats to the other pitchers to see where they all fall into the new "perfect through six innings" category to see who the best pitchers today are.
The second is the who is the winning and losing pitcher? That's what the announcers are talking about, are they going to give the win or loss to the guy who was the overall best in the game OR like today the guy gets the win or loss in the 9th or something and cancels out the first pitcher who lasted like seven innings.
So who gets the win /loss and what about perfect through six? Those are real stats they need today.
