This movie came out a couple years ago...I'm just getting to this now.
I actually watched this a while back and I thought it sucked, I must have been distracted or something...I watched it again a couple times just now and I changed my opinion, it's a successful reboot...I don't know if they mean that's a reboot or that's just what's going on in the movie...either way it's the same thing.
This is not really a review, I'm just laughing at some of the stuff that was in the show.
Anyway, this first time I watched this I thought all the actors got too old for the roles and stuff and thought it was lame, it just takes a little bit to get used to the actors getting older when you grow up watching those shows and I realize I am in the same age bracket...I mean they lost weight or something and look they they just got off drugs or something, I mean get on a health program and you're back up...Jay & Silent Bob I mean.
Yeah well I'm used to to now, new character Harley Quinn Smith, daughter of Kevin Smith, is a new character on the "Clerks" series of movies and is keeping the series running all by herself...like that's a new original character...she's enough to keep the new reboot going.
I remember years ago the first actor I noticed growing up getting older was Tom Hanks, anyway he looks great now in movies like "Greyhound"...like if you're in the age group and watched all that since it came out I mean they're not twenty anymore...get off drugs people you're like 45 now.
Like, shouldn't you all be growing out of that or what?
Drugs and all that's for kids man, you don't wanna end up down at the soup kitchen on drugs at 58 do you? Like when you could have been in a movie instead..go workout or something and get on a diet plan you're like 45.
In the movie you get all the cameos...Clerks and all that, and Ben Affleck etc.
Yeah so this is what I died laughing at in the movie....Ben Affleck the character says he got the role in the movie form his agent...hahaha...that's what I'm laughing at.
I don't have an agent, like I don't shop myself around.
I went to school back in my twenties and have a good education and I'm doing my own thing.
Like getting an agent to me makes your work look cheap...like they want to shop you around without you being there to criticize it and stuff without you being there, then you get like 2 cents for the role...I'm not doing that.
This is what is so funny to me though, I'm doing the comic book page now Dawn Forged Cast www.dawnforgedcast.com , yeah I'm covering Kevin Smith and Clerks stuff on that I just never got to any of that yet like at the comic book page.
Right now I'm putting my band and stuff out and just started launching my webstore like on the comic book page...and I made my own Advanced Dungeons & Dragons campaign setting Dragon Adventures that I am promoting on the page and my own book series Space Command....that's comics, toys and an rpg game I'm launching.
Like I'm making toy prototypes for all that and selling them in the store on the comic page like it's already successful it will just take a while to finish and I'm making it anyway and selling it on the store...like I'm not getting some agent for that I'm doing that and don't need anyone.
Yeah but I'm selling fan fiction scripts and stuff...that money I'd be putting into Dragon Adventures and Space Command if I sold them...and I'd take a reasonable price for the scripts if I got an offer.
I'm not getting an agent for that...I'm just putting them on the page to see if I get an offer etc. and for fandom, I know it's the best scripts I'm writing why would I get an agent...like maybe Ben Affleck might wanna buy them or something...then he can get his agent to shop them around for his role in it...they know it's the best one.
Right, so this is what is so funny with the page though...the name Dawn Forged Cast is from Dungeons & Dragons or something from our game, this guy tanked at the Dungeons & Dragons game and was dressed up like Kevin Smith and make hundreds of hours of guides on Youtube for Dungeons & Dragons and RPG character creation and got kicked off and this was this big controversy, I think he started bootlegging or something and got kicked out of the game and was dressed up like Kevin Smith.
So I bought the name for our game Dawn Forged Cast, which is a thing in the game or something anyway...like the guy got thrown out of the game pages just like in the Kevin Smith movies.
Hahaha, so I bought it because it had this big name and controversy on the internet...yeah so I'm not shopping nothing because I don't use an agent...but if you're like some actor or something and wanna buy my scripts I'm writing so you can put yourself in the movie yeah that's for sale, but I'm not shopping it around.
Like, you might have an agent and want to shop it for yourself...my script ideas, that money is just going back into the comic book store page anyway....like for the Space Command action figure prototypes I'm gonna be selling at the comic book store page, then like if I sign your band all your shirts and stuff for the merchandise all get sold on the comic book store page and stuff and on the internet plus on digital...cd's man I'm making those limited unless the artist wanted to make more, so that's what's going on there...bands get a digital and merch deal at the comic book store page where Space Command is at.
Then we're promoting Clerks and stuff too like Kevin Smith movies and stuff...that's what I'm laughing at in the reboot movie, all that's like right outta real life.
Yeah, so watch the movie...it's a successful new Kevin Smith relaunch probably with a new character.
Plus you get all the old character in it too for cameos.
