The MacDonald Bridge in Halifax built in 1955 was one of the first large suspension bridges in Canada, East of the Rocky Mountains.
This video shows the reconstruction of the bridge twenty years ago, it has since been renovated in "The Big Lift" in the last couple years again that has just finished.
The video shows great clips of the construction of the bridge in 1955.
Today, there are two bridges and has united the area of Halifax and Dartmouth into one city.
