With June and July coming those series were huge to stay in first heading into the Summer with some early New York momentum...coming from players like Donaldson.
Tim Anderson on bobble head night, regarding the Jackie Robinson comments, won the game by himself and gave Chicago their only win in the four game series that happened on Tim Anderson bobble head night.
My view is this....New York is trying to stay in first and running a good pitching game this year...Tim "Jackie Robinson" Anderson, cutting across the base at third and stepping on Donaldson's ankles to win the game by himself and risking injury on dangerous players forcing New York off the bags to get the win by himself on his own bobble head night!
For New York they don't want to risk losing good players with bad plays and running off the baseline...like Tim Anderson who won the game by himself, that is where this argument is coming from.
