NHL Playoffs 2019
NHL Playoffs 2019
The 2019 NHL Playoffs start today, this year it looks like an awesome set of matchups. Here are my picks for best playoff series and what to watch.
I'm pretty impressed with the first round of the playoffs, all great match ups.
Nashville Predators vs. Dallas Stars
-This is a classic awesome matchup of high skilled players.
Winnipeg Jets vs. St. Louis Blues
-Both teams still looking for their first Stanley Cup
Calgary Flames vs. Colorado Avalanche
-Two great teams with a long standing NHL legacy's.
San Jose Sharks vs. Las Vegas Golden Knights
-This series is one of my top picks, San Jose is doing great lately and facing new NHL expansion team the Golden Knights who made it to the Stanley Cup Final in their first year. This should be a super exciting high powered NHL playoff series.
Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Columbus Blue Jackets
-Tampa Bay is first place by a long shot in the NHL Standings this year and taking on one of my new favorite teams the Columbus Blue Jackets. This should also be a high energy packed series.
Boston Bruins vs. Toronto Maple Leaf's
- This is probably a top ratings draw for the NHL in an Original Six playoff matchup between the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Maple Leaf's. This will probably be the top series in Canada from a fan perspective. Don't miss this one!
Washington Capitals vs. Carolina Hurricanes
-The Defending Stanley Cup Champions and first place in the Metro Division for the fourth straight year take on another one of my new favorites teams up and comer Carolina Hurricanes.
New York Islanders vs. Pittsburgh Penguins
This is also a great series, Pittsburgh placed third in the Metro Division and have to face second place team New York Islanders, this will be a great series as the number two team this year in their division tries to knock out the recent back to back Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins.
The games I will be watching:
I will probably be watching most of this anyway, yes I have all kinds of time for that, but I am most looking forward to Bruins vs. Leaf's, Sharks vs. Golden Knights, Islanders vs. Penguins, Capitals vs. Hurricanes.
